South Bend Cubs Season Ends with Loss; Iowa Cubs Struggle in Final Games

The South Bend Cubs faced a tough end to their season, falling to the Quad Cities River Bandits 3-1 in the decisive game of the Midwest League Division Series. Connor Noland took the loss, while Justin Steele made a brief appearance on a rehab assignment, allowing two runs over two innings. The Iowa Cubs' only run came from an RBI groundout by Kevin Alcántara.

Meanwhile, the Knoxville Smokies celebrated a victory over the Birmingham Barons, winning 4-1. Brody McCullough pitched five scoreless innings, and Alex Ramírez contributed significantly with two RBIs, leading the Smokies to a solid performance.
