Skupski and Harrison Advance to US Open Men's Doubles Final

Neal Skupski of Great Britain and American partner Christian Harrison have advanced to the men's doubles final at the US Open. They secured their spot by defeating the top-seeded duo of Henry Patten and Harri Heliovaara with a score of 7-6 (7-4), 6-2, in a match that lasted one hour and 23 minutes.

This victory marks a significant achievement for Skupski and Harrison, who have yet to lose a set throughout the tournament. Skupski, 36, is aiming for his fifth Grand Slam title and his third in men's doubles, having already claimed victories at the Australian Open and Wimbledon this year.

Skupski reflected on their performance, stating they were aware of the challenges posed by Patten and Heliovaara, having faced them multiple times this year. He expressed excitement for the upcoming final, emphasizing their determination and experience from previous Grand Slam wins.

In the other semifinal, Germany's Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz triumphed over three-time US Open champions Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram, who announced their retirement following the match. Ram leaves the sport with an impressive six Grand Slam doubles titles to his name, including three consecutive US Open victories from 2021 to 2023.
