MIBR Dominates Alliance to Advance in FISSURE Playground 3

MIBR has advanced to the semi-finals of the FISSURE Playground 3 tournament following a decisive 2-0 win against Alliance at the SND Cultural & Sports Centre. The Brazilian-majority team showcased their strength, with all core players achieving ratings above 1.40.

The match began on Alliance's pick of Inferno, where the Swedish team initially took the lead despite losing the first pistol round. However, MIBR quickly turned the tide, securing five consecutive rounds to finish the first half with an 8-4 advantage. Lucas "nqz" Soares led the charge with a standout performance, achieving a 1.90 rating, while teammates Felipe "insani" Yuji and Carlos "venomzera" Eduardo also delivered strong contributions.

On Cache, Alliance started strong, winning four rounds in a row. Yet, MIBR responded with a seven-round streak, highlighted by a triple kill from insani. They ended the first half ahead 7-5 and continued to dominate after the switch, reaching map point at 12-5. Although Alliance attempted a comeback with four consecutive rounds, MIBR ultimately closed out the match at 13-9, securing their place in the next round.

MIBR's next challenge will be against Legacy, who qualified for the semi-finals as the top seed in Group B, promising an exciting derby matchup.
