NBA player Jaylen Brown recently entered the boxing ring in Nigeria, engaging in a match just weeks before the start of his first season with the Philadelphia 76ers. The footage of this unexpected bout was shared on his Instagram clips page.

In his post, Brown noted that he had '0 prep for this,' although he does have a boxing background, as his father, Quenton Marselles Brown, is a former WBU champion. The match also served to highlight Brown's 7uice Foundation, which aims to empower youth through education and innovation.

Brown's transition to the 76ers came in July when he was traded from the Boston Celtics in exchange for Paul George and future draft picks. Last season, he played a pivotal role in leading the Celtics to an NBA championship, where they triumphed over the Mavericks and he earned the Finals MVP award.
