paiN Esports to Bench piriajr, Promotes Academy Player Tatu

paiN Esports is reportedly making another roster change, benching Guilherme "piriajr" Barbosa after a lackluster performance in recent tournaments. This decision comes just weeks after the team benched Vinicius "vsm" Moreira, replacing him with academy player Rickson "Rkzinho" Ribeiro Dias.

The changes follow a disheartening start to the season for paiN, which saw them finish in last place at the BLAST Open Porto and Stake Ranked Episode 3, as well as an early exit from the Esports World Cup. Team member Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt expressed concerns about team dynamics, stating that trust among players has diminished.

piriajr's time with the starting roster has come to an end after nine months, during which he struggled to replicate his previous success. He joined paiN from Bounty Hunters, where he had an impressive 1.32 rating, but managed only a 1.03 rating in international competitions with his new team.

In his place, 22-year-old Lucas "Tatu" Santana will step up from paiN Academy, where he has been a consistent performer, averaging a 1.07 rating this year. The report did not clarify whether Tatu's promotion is a temporary measure or if he will remain in the lineup for the long term.
