Bryan Hudson served as the opener, supported by four relievers: Jordan Hicks, Hagen Smith, Grant Taylor, and Tyler Davis. Together, they recorded an impressive 15 strikeouts while allowing only one walk. Smith notably pitched three hitless innings before Taylor surrendered a leadoff homer to Brooks Lee in the seventh inning.

The White Sox took control of the game early, with Munetaka Murakami's RBI single giving them a lead they would not relinquish. Sam Antonacci contributed significantly with three doubles and two RBIs, while Randal Grichuk added an RBI double and later hit his 12th home run in the eighth inning.
