Nets Re-sign Grant Nelson to Two-Way Contract

The Brooklyn Nets have officially brought back 24-year-old center Grant Nelson, signing him to the last of their three available two-way contracts for the upcoming season.

Nelson, who stands at 7 feet tall, played for both the Nets and their G-League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, during the previous season. His return completes the roster for the team's upcoming campaign.

The signing was first reported by HoopsHype and later confirmed by The Post. Nelson joins rookie second-round draft pick Tyler Bilodeau and second-year player Chaney Johnson, who had a strong performance in the Las Vegas Summer League, as the team's two-way players.

Last season, Nelson made only four appearances for the Nets after initially joining on an Exhibit 10 deal. However, he played 23 games with Long Island, where he averaged 11.1 points and 5.9 rebounds while shooting 54.9 percent from the field, which contributed to his promotion to the NBA roster.

His season was hampered by patellar tendinitis, preventing him from participating in the Summer League, although he did travel with the team to Las Vegas for rehabilitation. Nelson went undrafted in 2025 but previously showcased his talent at Alabama, averaging nearly 12 points per game in the SEC, and earned first-team All-Summit League honors during his time at North Dakota State.
