In the latest simulation of the NBA season using NBA 2K27, LeBron James' transition to the Philadelphia 76ers is marked by unexpected struggles. Despite signing a two-year contract, the simulation suggests that James, in his age-42 season, will experience career lows in several statistical categories, including points and assists, averaging just 16.9 points and 4.9 assists per game.

The 76ers, who added James and traded for Jaylen Brown, are projected to finish 14th in the Eastern Conference with a disappointing record of 27-55. Brown's performance also declines significantly, with his scoring dropping over seven points per game, marking the lowest averages since the 2019-20 season. Notably, injuries played a minimal role in this poor performance, with only Tyrese Maxey missing a substantial number of games.
