Alex Accetta Returns to Alabama Basketball as Director of Program Relations

The University of Alabama's men's basketball program has announced the return of Alex Accetta as its director of program relations. This decision was made public on Thursday, September 3.

Accetta previously held various roles within the Alabama men's basketball program from 2015 to 2022, starting as a student assistant and advancing to operations coordinator in 2017 and director of operations in 2021. She left the program following the 2021 season when Nate Oats began his tenure as head coach.

After her departure, Accetta worked with the Dallas Mavericks, focusing on guest experience and business operations until 2026. Now, she will report to Shane Lyons, the executive deputy athletic director and chief operating officer, rather than directly to Oats. This move marks a significant return for Accetta to the program she once helped manage.
