Snappi Departs Ninjas in Pyjamas as Team Seeks New Leadership

Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer has stepped down from his position with Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP), marking the end of his tenure as the team's in-game leader. This decision comes after a mutual agreement between Snappi and the organization, as NiP looks to revamp its roster.

Snappi's departure follows reports that NiP has been actively searching for new in-game leaders and additional players to fill gaps in the lineup. The 36-year-old veteran has hinted at a willingness to transition to a different role after nearly two decades in professional gaming, although he has not publicly commented on his exit from the team.

During his time with NiP, which lasted over a year and a half, Snappi led the team to a quarter-finals finish at the PGL Astana event and secured several smaller titles, including wins at Fragadelphia Las Vegas and the HyperX Roman Imperium Cup VI. Despite these achievements, the team struggled to maintain a consistent presence in the top tier of competitive play, often remaining outside the top 20 rankings.

Snappi's performance as a player had also seen a decline, with an average rating of 0.83 against top-tier opponents during his leadership. His exit leaves NiP with a current roster that includes Rasmus "sjuush" Beck, Kacper "xKacpersky" Gabara, Martin "stavn" Lund, and Roman "n0te" Hamze, who is serving as a stand-in. The organization now faces the challenge of finding a suitable replacement to lead the team forward.
