Deni Avdija, a key player for Israel's national basketball team, announced via social media that the Portland Trail Blazers have not permitted him to compete in the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifiers. This decision stems from Avdija's ongoing struggles with a back injury that has plagued him since January.

Avdija faced significant challenges throughout the NBA season, missing 16 of the Trail Blazers' 24 games during a critical period due to back tightness.
