Karolina Muchova and Jakub Mensik triumphed in the US Open mixed doubles final, overcoming significant pressure by saving two match points to secure their victory. The duo claimed the title and a prize of $1 million after defeating Belinda Bencic and Flavio Cobolli with a score of 6-3, 1-6, 10-6, highlighted by Mensik's impressive 131 mph ace on the third championship point.

This victory marks the first Grand Slam title for both Muchova and Mensik, just over six weeks after Muchova's recent appearance in the Wimbledon final, where she faced a loss to compatriot Linda Noskova. Muchova had been sidelined due to a minor surgery prior to the tournament, making this win particularly significant for her comeback.
