Bymas Accuses Monte of Owing Tens of Thousands Amidst Contract Dispute

Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras has publicly accused his former esports organization, Monte, of failing to fulfill payment obligations, claiming he is owed "tens of thousands of dollars". This includes unpaid salary, prize money, bonus payments, and a share of team stickers from the ongoing IEM Cologne Major sale.

Bymas, who departed from Monte to join Luminosity in early July, stated that multiple former players and the team's coach are also awaiting substantial payments. His accusations came shortly after Monte's CEO, Dmytro Vovk, released a video addressing Bymas and two other players who left for Luminosity, suggesting they acted without transparency during contract negotiations.

In his post, Bymas highlighted that payment delays had been a persistent issue, contributing to a breakdown of trust between him and the organization. He expressed that re-signing with Monte would have meant committing to an organization that he no longer trusted to meet its financial obligations consistently.

Monte responded to Bymas's claims by downplaying the severity of the payment delays and asserting that the allegations of owing "tens of thousands of dollars" are false. They acknowledged that payment delays occurred but attributed them to external factors rather than internal mismanagement, insisting that players were kept informed throughout the process.
