yxngstxr expressed enthusiasm about returning to a permanent role, particularly focusing on his rifle skills after a challenging start to 2026. Previously, he had been benched by HEROIC before stepping in as an AWPer while the team dealt with visa complications for Alimzhan "Alkaren" Bitimbay. During his time as an interim sniper, he maintained an average rating of 1.00 and contributed to HEROIC's qualification for the IEM Cologne Major, along with securing wins at DraculaN Season 5 and Stake Ranked Episode 3.
The decision to bench Bymas follows a disappointing performance from Luminosity, which included consecutive last-place finishes at the XSE Pro League Guangzhou and the Esports World Cup. yxngstxr is expected to make his debut with Luminosity at the upcoming Roman Imperium Cup VIII, scheduled for September 10-13.
