20 days agoThe upcoming BLAST Open Porto will feature 16 teams battling it out in a competitive format, taking place from August 26 to September 6, 2026. The tournament will be held across two cities, Copenhagen and Porto, with a total prize pool of $1.1 million.
Twelve of the tournament spots were filled based on the Global VRS standings as of July 6, while four additional teams secured their places through regional qualifiers. The tournament will be structured into two groups of eight teams, competing in a double-elimination format with all matches played as best-of-three. Group winners will advance directly to the semi-finals, while the second and third-placed teams will compete in the quarter-finals. The championship will be determined through a best-of-five series.
The group stage is scheduled to take place at BLAST's Copenhagen studio from August 26 to 31, with Group A kicking off the event. The top six teams will then move to the Super Bock Arena in Porto for the playoff rounds.
The total prize pool of $1.1 million will be divided into player prize money and a club share, with significant rewards for the top teams. The event will also feature a robust analysis desk led by former Astralis coach Casper "ruggah" Due, alongside a talented English-language broadcast team.
Additionally, fans can participate in a season HLTV Fantasy game, which offers various skin prizes for participants, enhancing the overall experience of the tournament.
