Exploring Forgotten Players in Utah Jazz History

The Utah Jazz have had their share of notable players, but some lesser-known figures have also made an impact on the franchise. Among these are Miye Oni and Kyrylo Fesenko, who represent different eras of Jazz basketball.

Miye Oni, a former Ivy League Player of the Year, was selected by the Jazz as the 58th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Standing at 6'5", Oni was known for his defensive skills and three-point shooting. Despite showing promise during his two years with the team, inconsistency and foul issues led to his departure from the NBA. Currently, he plays for the Criollos de Caguas in Puerto Rico after a stint with the London Lions.

Kyrylo Fesenko, a 7'1" center, was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2007 but was traded to the Jazz. He was known for his rugged defense and shot-blocking ability, becoming a fan favorite during his five seasons with the team. However, his struggles with fitness and a torn meniscus injury hampered his career, ultimately leading him to sign with the Pacers without finding a lasting role in the NBA.
