Mike Burrows Shines in Second Rehab Start for Sugar Land

Right-handed pitcher Mike Burrows showcased his skills during his second major league rehab start, throwing 4.2 scoreless innings for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys in their 3-2 victory against the Oklahoma City Comets.

Burrows maintained a no-hitter through four innings, allowing only three base runners via two walks and a hit batter. The Comets managed to break the no-hitter with a leadoff single in the fifth, but Burrows quickly regained control, striking out one batter and inducing a fly out before handing the ball to Alimber Santa, who struck out the final batter to keep Oklahoma City off the scoreboard.

This outing marks Burrows' longest performance during his rehab assignment, as he continues to recover from right elbow neuritis, which placed him on the injured list on July 7. In his two rehab appearances, Burrows has now pitched a total of 9.0 scoreless innings, allowing just four hits, walking three, and recording eight strikeouts.
