The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially re-signed James Harden, securing the veteran guard with a three-year contract valued at $97 million. The agreement, which includes a player option for the final year of the deal, was confirmed by a source familiar with the negotiations.

Harden, who will celebrate his 37th birthday later this month, played a pivotal role for the Cavaliers last season after being acquired in a trade. In his 26 appearances with the team, he averaged 20.5 points, 7.7 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game, contributing significantly to the team's success in reaching the Eastern Conference finals.

The Cavaliers were ultimately swept by the New York Knicks in that series, but Harden's performance alongside star player Donovan Mitchell showcased his value to the roster. His return is expected to bolster Cleveland's chances as they aim for another deep playoff run in the upcoming season.
