Aryna Sabalenka, the world number one, showcased her dominance at the Cincinnati Open, breezing through to the fourth round in a mere 54 minutes. She defeated China's Wang Xinyu with a score of 6-1, 6-3, without facing a single break point throughout the match.

The Belarusian's performance was marked by efficiency, as she lost only six points across eight service games and recorded 17 winners against just five unforced errors. This victory comes as a much-needed boost following her earlier exits at Wimbledon and in Canada.

"To get this win in under an hour is an insane result and I’m so happy to be through," Sabalenka expressed, highlighting her confidence in her gameplay. As a two-time defending champion at the upcoming US Open, she aims to become the first woman since Serena Williams to win the title three consecutive times.

In contrast, Daniil Medvedev, the fourth seed, experienced a frustrating defeat against Brandon Nakashima. After rallying from a 5-2 deficit in the first set to win it in a tie-break, Medvedev squandered three match points while serving for the match in the second set. Nakashima capitalized on this opportunity, ultimately winning the match 6-7 (3-7), 7-6 (7-4), 6-1.

Medvedev's frustration was palpable as he reacted by throwing his racquet at the electronic boards, causing a brief disruption. His performance was marred by an unusually high tally of 51 unforced errors, leading to a disappointing exit from the tournament.
