Woxic Reflects on International Transition and Team Dynamics

Özgür "woxic" Eker, a prominent Turkish sniper, recently shared insights into his experience transitioning to an international roster with Aurora at the Esports World Cup. After a rocky start that included a loss to BIG, Aurora secured their playoff spot with victories over M80 and JiJieHao. Woxic spoke about the initial difficulties of communicating in English, a switch from his native Turkish, but noted that the team is becoming more comfortable with the language after nearly two months.

Woxic explained that adapting to English has been challenging, stating, "Sometimes my brain wants to give the Turkish information for that place, and I'm just saying, 'No, it's not the right one.'" However, he feels that the team is now effectively communicating and understanding each other during practice and matches. He emphasized the importance of this transition for the overall team dynamics.

In terms of gameplay, Woxic praised his teammates, particularly in-game leader Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski, for fostering a supportive environment. He mentioned that kyxsan's experience has helped boost his confidence, allowing him the freedom to make plays. Woxic noted that having a similar mindset with his teammates has positively impacted their coordination on the field, especially during crucial moments in matches.
