Doc Rivers Inducted into Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2026

Doc Rivers has been announced as one of the inductees for the Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2026. This prestigious recognition highlights his significant contributions to the sport as both a player and a coach.

Joining Rivers in this esteemed group are notable figures such as Joey Crawford, Mark Few, Amar'e Stoudemire, Mike D'Antoni, Candace Parker, Chamique Holdsclaw, Elena Delle Donne, and the 1996 USA Basketball Women’s National Team. The enshrinement ceremony will take place at Springfield Symphony Hall in Massachusetts, with the event broadcasted live on NBA TV.

Throughout his coaching career, Rivers has led five different NBA franchises, including the Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and most recently, the Milwaukee Bucks. He has established himself as one of the winningest coaches in NBA history, accumulating 1,195 wins over 27 seasons, placing him sixth on the all-time coaching wins list.

Rivers also boasts an impressive playoff record, with 114 victories, ranking him fourth in this category behind legends like Gregg Popovich and Phil Jackson. His most notable achievement came when he coached the Boston Celtics to an NBA Championship in 2008, leading a team that featured stars such as Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen.
