Doc Rivers Inducted into Basketball Hall of Fame

Doc Rivers has officially been inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career as an NBA coach. With a coaching tenure spanning 27 seasons, Rivers ranks fifth all-time in wins, surpassing notable Hall of Famers such as Phil Jackson and Larry Brown.

Rivers' coaching journey began in Orlando and included stints with the Boston Celtics, LA Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Milwaukee Bucks. He boasts a career regular-season record of 1,191 wins against 861 losses, translating to a winning percentage of 58%. Additionally, he has coached in 226 playoff games and led the Celtics to a championship in 2008.

Despite facing criticism for some notable playoff disappointments, including three instances of blowing 3-1 series leads, Rivers' overall achievements earned him a place in the Hall. During his induction speech, he reflected on his championship victory in Boston and shared memories of coaching his son, Austin, while with the Clippers.
