Astralis has successfully secured the second-to-last playoff spot at the Esports World Cup following a 2-1 victory against Ninjas in Pyjamas in the lower bracket of Group B. The match featured victories on Nuke and Cache, while NIP managed to take Inferno.

Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen's squad demonstrated resilience after a prior loss to Falcons, showcasing their ability to bounce back and maintain momentum from a strong semi-final run at BLAST Bounty Season 2. HooXi expressed confidence in the team's potential, emphasizing that their performance could improve further depending on who shows up on the day.

In the opening map, Nuke, Astralis dominated from the start, rarely losing more than two players per round and excelling in opening duels. NIP struggled to find their footing, ending the first half with only three rounds and failing to recover during their defensive play.
