Amar'e Stoudemire Joins Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2026

Amar'e Stoudemire, a prominent figure in the NBA, has been officially inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026. Known for his dynamic play, Stoudemire made a significant mark during his career with the Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks.

Selected ninth overall in the 2002 NBA Draft by the Suns, Stoudemire quickly established himself as a force in the league, earning the NBA Rookie of the Year award in the 2002-03 season. He was a key player in the Suns' fast-paced 'Seven Seconds or Less' offense, alongside Hall of Famer Steve Nash, and became one of the league's premier power forwards.

During his first eight seasons with the Suns, Stoudemire averaged an impressive 21.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. In 2010, he signed a lucrative five-year contract worth nearly $100 million with the Knicks, further solidifying his status in the league. Over his 14-year career, which spanned from 2002 to 2016, he averaged 18.9 points and 7.8 rebounds, earning six All-Star selections along the way.
