Manager Dave Roberts was asked if he would consider removing Díaz from the closer role, but he expressed confidence in the pitcher's ability. Roberts noted that the team lacks other reliable options in the bullpen, as many of the relievers have not been performing well.

Díaz himself acknowledged his inconsistency, stating that he was not executing his pitches properly. He expressed frustration over his inability to perform at the level he knows he is capable of, emphasizing the need to improve moving forward. While the Dodgers have other potential closing options, including Tanner Scott and Evan Phillips, Roberts indicated that any changes would depend on the overall performance of the bullpen.
