Aurora Secures Dominant Victory Over M80 in EWC Elimination Match
32 days agoAurora has successfully kept their Esports World Cup hopes alive by defeating M80 with a convincing 2-0 scoreline in their Group A elimination match, winning on both Dust2 and Inferno with scores of 13-9.
The team, which recently underwent changes by adding players Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski and Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo, faced challenges in their earlier match against BIG. Coach Ashley "ash" Battye expressed his frustration over the team's inconsistency and lack of execution during practice.
Despite some lapses, Aurora showcased a strong performance, particularly from Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş, who dominated the opening map with a 7-3 record in opening duels, accumulating 23 kills and achieving a 1.67 rating.
On Inferno, XANTARES continued his impressive form, recording eight multi-kills and ending with a 24-12 kill-death ratio. Aurora built an 8-4 lead at halftime, and after winning the pistol round, they maintained control to secure the match.
With this victory, Aurora is set to face JiJieHao on Saturday, competing for a spot in the playoffs of the Esports World Cup.
