The Russian team has faced significant travel issues, including a previous incident during the Major where they competed without player Pavel "S1ren" Ogloblin. Other members, Artem "ArtFr0st" Kharitonov and Daniil "d1Ledez" Kustov, were also sidelined due to visa delays earlier in the season.
Despite this setback, BetBoom remains in the top 10 of the VRS rankings following a strong playoff performance at the Cologne Major. They will have an opportunity to regain some momentum at the upcoming FISSURE Playground 3, which starts shortly after BLAST Open Porto concludes.
For paiN, this development represents a significant opportunity as they step in as the highest-seeded runner-up from the closed qualifiers to compete for a share of the $1.1 million prize pool at the tournament.
