FISSURE Playground 3 Welcomes Top Teams Including The MongolZ and FaZe

FISSURE Playground 3 is set to feature a lineup of eight invited teams, with notable names such as The MongolZ and FaZe confirming their participation. The announcement was made via the Chinese social media platform Bilibili.

Originally planned as FPG 5, the event was renamed following the cancellation of its third and fourth editions due to logistical issues. The tournament will now take place in Suzhou, in collaboration with Chinese operator GGMEDIA, instead of the previously scheduled location in Shenzhen.

Among the eight invited teams, five are ranked within the top 15 of HLTV's latest rankings, marking a positive development for the tournament organizers after facing challenges including three event cancellations and financial difficulties.

The tournament is set to commence shortly after the BLAST Open Porto, with participating teams Legacy and BetBoom competing in that event. Should either team reach the finals in Portugal, they will have a tight schedule to travel to China ahead of the September 8 start date.

In addition to The MongolZ and FaZe, the other teams invited include PARIVISION, Alliance, and TYLOO, completing the initial lineup. FISSURE is expected to fill the remaining eight spots through an Asia Closed Qualifier and additional VRS invitations.
