Cologne Major Sticker Sales Fall Short, Says PARIVISION CEO
35 days agoAndrii "Kimi" Kvasnevskyi, the CEO of PARIVISION, recently discussed the financial impact of sticker sales from the Cologne Major in a recap video. He expressed disappointment, stating that the new pricing system significantly affected their revenue.
According to a report from HLTV, the sticker sales from the Cologne Major were nearly five times lower than those from the StarLadder Budapest Major. This decline followed Valve's decision to implement static pricing for ranked stickers, replacing the previous dynamic pricing model.
Kvasnevskyi noted, "The numbers were far from what we expected," revealing that PARIVISION earned three times more from the first stage in Budapest compared to the third stage in Cologne. He emphasized that the Major represents a crucial marketing opportunity, and the results were underwhelming for the team.
