Cameron Norrie of Britain showcased remarkable resilience at the Canadian Open, saving a match point to overcome world number seven Alex de Minaur. Norrie was trailing by a set and 5-2 before turning the match around, ultimately winning 5-7, 7-6 (7-5), 6-1 to secure his spot in the fourth round.

De Minaur, the third seed, had a chance to close out the match while serving for it in the second set but faltered with a double fault. He served for the match twice but was unable to maintain his lead, allowing Norrie to level the score and take control in the final set. The match lasted two hours and 52 minutes, with Norrie finishing strong after edging the tie-break in the second set.

Following this victory, Norrie, currently ranked 37th in the world, is set to face Arthur Fils of France in the next round. Meanwhile, de Minaur's exit leaves Ben Shelton as the only top-10 player remaining in the men's draw, as several high-ranked players, including world number one Jannik Sinner and third-ranked Novak Djokovic, withdrew before the tournament began.
