Bucks Finalize Coaching Staff with Familiar Faces and New Additions

The Milwaukee Bucks have officially completed their coaching staff under head coach Taylor Jenkins, featuring a mix of familiar faces and new talent. Among the notable returns is Darvin Ham, who previously served as the lead assistant during the Bucks' championship season in 2021.

Ham has a rich history with Jenkins, having worked together for six seasons across Atlanta and Milwaukee. After a challenging tenure as head coach in Los Angeles, where he was let go despite a winning record, Ham has chosen to remain with the Bucks as an assistant.

Joining Ham are several coaches with prior connections to Jenkins and the Bucks. St. Andrews and Brad Jones, both of whom have worked with Jenkins in Memphis, will be part of the staff. Vince Legarza returns to Milwaukee after a season with the Suns, while Schuyler Rimmer, a former video coordinator for the Bucks, also re-joins the team.

New assistant Johnny Carpenter comes from the Indiana Pacers, where he served last season, while T.J. Ford, a former Bucks point guard, steps into his first NBA coaching role. Ford, the eighth overall pick in the 2003 draft, has experience coaching at the high school and AAU levels.

Notably, Joe Boylan, who was expected to join Jenkins' staff, has decided to take a position with the Dallas Mavericks instead. Meanwhile, Dave Joerger and Greg Buckner have also secured assistant roles with the Denver Nuggets and Orlando Magic, respectively.
