Cameron Norrie Advances to Last 32 at Canadian Open

Cameron Norrie has successfully moved on to the last 32 of the Canadian Open, following a straight-set victory over Ignacio Buse. The match concluded with a score of 6-3, 6-3 and lasted one hour and 29 minutes.

Despite being ranked four spots lower than Buse, who is positioned at number 33 in the world, Norrie showcased a strong performance. This win marks a positive turnaround for the British player, who recently ended a six-match losing streak by reaching the semi-finals at the Los Cabos Open.

In the next round, Norrie will face Australian Alex de Minaur, the world number seven. De Minaur, who recently tied the knot with British number two Katie Boulter, is also gearing up to compete in doubles at the upcoming US Open.

Norrie's match against Buse featured an early break that allowed him to take control of the first set. Although Buse managed to level the second set at 2-2, Norrie quickly regained the advantage and ultimately secured the match with his second match point.
