Ramos, who is 26 years old, has had a solid season, playing primarily in left field. He has a batting average of .264, along with nine home runs and 34 RBIs over 74 games this season. His performance has garnered attention not only from New York but also from the Philadelphia Phillies, who have been monitoring him as well.
The Giants, currently struggling with a 47-65 record, may be open to trading Ramos. He has shown promise in previous seasons, logging a career-high 157 games in 2025 with a .264 average, 21 home runs, and 69 RBIs. In 2024, he played 121 games and posted a .269 average with 22 home runs and 72 RBIs.
Ramos was drafted by the Giants in 2017 as the 19th overall pick and made his MLB debut on April 10, 2022. He has played a total of 34 games with the Giants through the 2023 season.
The Yankees recently acquired infielder Luis Garcia Jr. but are still exploring options to enhance their outfield, especially with injuries sidelining key players Aaron Judge and Cody Bellinger.
