MIBR and NRG Secure Spots in StarSeries Fall 2026

MIBR and NRG have successfully secured their spots for the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 after emerging victorious in their respective qualifiers. MIBR advanced through the South American qualifier, while NRG made their way through the North American bracket, ensuring their participation in the $500,000 LAN event.

NRG faced a challenging path, particularly in their first tournament featuring Håkon "hallzerk" Fjærli as their AWP player. After suffering a setback in the third round against Voca, NRG rebounded by defeating SportsBetExpert 2-0 and later avenged their earlier loss to Voca in a decisive two-map final. Aran "Sonic" Groesbeek played a pivotal role, achieving a tournament rating of 1.28.

In contrast, MIBR's journey was more straightforward, as they only dropped one map throughout the South American qualifier. Their victories over teams like Fluxo, LP, ShindeN, and BESTIA solidified their place at the international LAN event.

Both teams are now shifting their focus to the upcoming Esports World Cup in Paris. MIBR is among the 28 teams invited to the $2 million tournament, while NRG will need to navigate a challenging 64-team open qualifier scheduled for August 7-9, where they will compete in Group N against Acend, Spirit Esports, and Vandulken.

The final lineup for the StarLadder StarSeries Fall includes MIBR, NRG, four invited teams, along with Aurora and magic, with the event set to take place from September 17-20 at a yet-to-be-announced location.
