Cameron Norrie Falls to Denis Shapovalov in Los Cabos Semi-Final

Cameron Norrie's impressive run at the Los Cabos Open in Mexico has come to an end following a three-set defeat against defending champion Denis Shapovalov. Norrie, who had previously struggled with six consecutive losses, managed to reach the semi-finals but fell short with a final score of 6-3, 5-7, 6-4.

The match began poorly for Norrie, as he was broken in his opening service game, quickly trailing 2-0. Despite having opportunities to break back, he was unable to convert, leading to a loss in the first set. The second set saw a shaky start as well, with Norrie hitting errant forehands, allowing Shapovalov to break early.

However, Norrie bounced back, leveling the set and eventually earning two set points on Shapovalov's serve. He capitalized on the second opportunity, taking the set with a well-placed forehand volley that caught the line.

In the decisive third set, Norrie faced another setback, being broken in the first game. Shapovalov maintained his composure, holding serve throughout the set and securing victory after two hours and 39 minutes of play.

With this win, Shapovalov advances to the final, where he will face France's Arthur Gea, who defeated Hong Kong's Coleman Wong in the other semi-final.
