NEO Reflects on FaZe Departure as He Prepares for Astralis Coaching Role

Filip "NEO" Kubski is set to make his LAN debut as the head coach of Astralis, following a two-week transition from his previous role at FaZe. His departure from FaZe, where he coached for nearly three years, came after the organization decided to make significant changes, including the coaching staff.

Reflecting on his exit from FaZe, NEO stated, "I can understand the point of view... the team needed some changes, and changing the coach is one of the first steps orgs tend to take. So it's part of the game, no grudges, it is what it is. But I've learned my lesson." He aims to bring the insights gained from his time at FaZe to his new position at Astralis, where he will work alongside Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, who has a different coaching style compared to Finn "karrigan" Andersen.

NEO expressed optimism about his new role, noting the potential he sees within the Astralis roster. He described his initial days with the team as refreshing and highlighted the importance of adapting to their established playstyle. "There's room for improvement for sure, and you can see the potential. There's just plenty of work ahead of us," he remarked.

While acknowledging the challenges of transitioning from FaZe, NEO emphasized the importance of building relationships with his new players. He noted that the adjustment period has been manageable, and he is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead with Astralis.
