MVP and PFL Join Forces to Revolutionize Combat Sports

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and the Professional Fighters League (PFL) have officially merged, establishing a new entity aimed at redefining the landscape of combat sports. This collaboration is touted as a move towards creating a more modern and expansive platform for fighters across boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA).

The leadership of the newly formed organization will include MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, alongside PFL CEO John Martin, who will continue to oversee operations. The merger will unify a roster of over 300 fighters, enhancing opportunities for athletes within both sports.

MVP, which initially focused on boxing since its inception in 2021, made its MMA debut earlier this year with a record-breaking event featuring Ronda Rousey. The event attracted a staggering 12.4 million viewers, setting a new benchmark for MMA viewership in the United States, and peaked at 17 million globally on Netflix.

John Martin emphasized that the merger is not merely a business consolidation but a significant step in creating a comprehensive combat sports community. He expressed optimism about the potential for growth and engagement, stating, 'One company, one global stage, millions of fans - and we’re only just getting started.'

This strategic alliance follows MVP's recent partnership with Matchroom Boxing, which aims to enhance opportunities for female fighters, reflecting MVP's commitment to promoting women's boxing and expanding its champion roster.
