Cameron Norrie has successfully reached the quarter-finals of the Los Cabos Open after defeating James Duckworth in straight sets. The British player overcame the Australian competitor with a score of 6-4, 6-4, showcasing resilience after a challenging start.

Norrie, who recently ended a six-match losing streak with a victory over Aleksandar Kovacevic, found himself down 3-0 in the first set against Duckworth. However, he rallied back to take control and ultimately secured the win. In the second set, Norrie broke Duckworth's serve twice, establishing a 5-2 lead before closing out the match despite a late challenge.

This victory positions Norrie to face former top-20 player Bernard Tomic in the quarter-finals. As the fifth seed, he is now the second-highest ranked player remaining in the tournament following the early exit of top seed Jiri Lehecka, who lost to Coleman Wong. Tomic also made headlines by defeating fourth seed Karen Khachanov in his previous match.
