Wu Yize Advances to Face Shaun Murphy in Shanghai Masters Quarter-Finals

In an impressive display, world champion Wu Yize secured his place in the quarter-finals of the Shanghai Masters by defeating Si Jiahui 6-2. Yize, who recently claimed the world title, showcased his skill by scoring three centuries during the match.

Yize started strong, taking a commanding 3-0 lead before Si Jiahui managed to pull back two frames. However, Yize quickly regained control, delivering breaks of 108 and two 140s to clinch the victory and set up a highly anticipated rematch against Shaun Murphy.

Murphy also advanced after a closely contested match against Zhou Yuelong, winning 6-5 with a decisive break of 65 in the final frame. This upcoming quarter-final will be a repeat of their thrilling encounter in the 2026 World Championship final, adding extra excitement to the matchup.
