Valve Introduces New Ranked Stickers for IEM Cologne Major
47 days agoValve has released an update for Counter-Strike that includes a new series of IEM Cologne Major stickers. These stickers feature a square design and indicate each team's final position in the tournament.
In response to feedback regarding the previous pricing structure, which led to exorbitant costs for some items, Valve has adjusted the prices significantly. The developers admitted that the original dynamic pricing did not yield reasonable prices for players.
Previously, some of the most coveted stickers were priced at over 150,000 tokens, equivalent to around $1,500. With the new pricing model, the most valuable stickers are now set at 6,000 tokens, approximately $60.
This change comes after reports indicated that sticker sales from the Cologne Major had plummeted, with some teams experiencing earnings as low as 20% compared to similar items from the StarLadder Budapest Major. Valve's new series aims to revitalize interest and sales.
The newly released stickers will be available for purchase until September 29, providing players and fans with an opportunity to collect these updated items.
