Luka Dončić to Lead Lakers Minicamp in Slovenia

Luka Dončić is set to host a minicamp for his Los Angeles Lakers teammates in Slovenia this August, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin. The four-day event will include on-court training, recreational activities like golf, and opportunities for team bonding ahead of the upcoming training camp, which begins in late September.

The Lakers are coming off a playoff run where they managed to defeat the Houston Rockets in the first round before being swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite injuries to Dončić and guard Austin Reaves, the team showed resilience during the postseason.

This offseason has seen significant changes for the Lakers, including the departure of LeBron James, Deandre Ayton, Rui Hachimura, Marcus Smart, and Luke Kennard. In their place, the team has welcomed new players such as Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Collin Sexton, and first-round draft pick Cameron Carr.

Kessler's acquisition, made through a sign-and-trade deal with Utah, is particularly noteworthy as the Lakers look to address the center position.
