Danny Serretti, a minor league infielder recently acquired by the Arizona Diamondbacks, has been making waves in the minor leagues, showcasing a performance that merits consideration for a promotion to the major leagues. After struggling in the Detroit Tigers' system, Serretti's turnaround in Arizona has been remarkable.

Originally selected in the sixth round of the 2022 draft, Serretti began his career with a strong showing, hitting .315 across three levels in his debut season. However, his performance dipped in subsequent years, leading to his unprotected status before the 2025 Rule 5 draft, which the D'Backs capitalized on.

Since joining Arizona's farm system, Serretti has excelled, particularly in AA Amarillo, where he posted a .283 batting average with a .443 on-base plus slugging (OPS). His success continued in AAA Reno, where he is hitting .352 with a .461 wOBA. Notably, he has thrived against left-handed pitching, boasting a .345 average as a right-handed batter.

Serretti's improvements are not solely due to favorable hitting environments; he has significantly increased his walk rate while reducing strikeouts and pop-ups, indicating a more refined approach at the plate.
