Cleveland's reluctance to part with Allen stems from his significant contributions during the playoffs, where he played a key role in the team's run to the Eastern Conference Finals. The Cavaliers value Allen highly and are not inclined to exchange him for a player like Kuminga, who has yet to establish himself as a reliable contributor in the league.

Instead, the Cavaliers are looking to offload players like Max Strus or Dennis Schroder to create the necessary salary cap space for a potential Kuminga acquisition.
