Dalen Terry Released by 76ers After Brief Stint

Dalen Terry, a former wing for the Arizona Wildcats, has been released by the Philadelphia 76ers just two days following the announcement of LeBron James' signing with the team on a two-year contract worth $8 million.

The 24-year-old Terry played in 21 games for the 76ers, marking his third team during the 2025-26 NBA season. He was previously traded from the Chicago Bulls to the New Orleans Pelicans in February, only to be waived by New Orleans the next day. Philadelphia signed him to a two-way contract on February 10, which was converted to a standard deal on April 10, just before the season concluded.

During his time with Philadelphia, Terry averaged 4.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in approximately 11.7 minutes per game across 14 regular season appearances. In the playoffs, he contributed 13 points over seven games, totaling 39 minutes of action.

Had the 76ers retained him, Terry would have been one of two former Arizona players on the roster for the upcoming season, joining Caleb Love, who was signed to a two-way deal in early July.

Originally selected by the Bulls as the 18th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Terry spent over three seasons in Chicago, where he started seven games. He had a notable college career at Arizona, starting 14 games as a freshman and all 37 games in his sophomore season under coach Tommy Lloyd.
