Skubal Shines in Tigers' Close Win Over Royals

Skubal, making his fifteenth start of the season, continued his impressive form following a previous outing where he struck out nine batters over seven innings against the Angels. Despite ongoing speculation about his future with the Tigers, Skubal's focus remained on the game, delivering an exceptional performance against the Royals.

The Tigers struck early, loading the bases with two singles and a hit-by-pitch in the first inning. Riley Greene's deep fly ball resulted in a sacrifice fly, followed by a single from Hao-Yu Lee that brought Gleyber Torres home, giving Detroit a 2-0 lead. This would be the extent of their scoring, but it proved sufficient for victory.
