Gustavo "tge" Motta Appointed Head Coach of BESTIA
53 days agoBESTIA has announced the appointment of Gustavo "tge" Motta as the new head coach of their Counter-Strike team. This decision comes shortly after tge's departure from RED Canids, where he had been coaching until July.
In his previous role at RED Canids, tge led the team to compete at notable events such as the StarLadder Budapest Major and IEM Rio 2026. Prior to that, he had success with 9z, guiding them to a semifinal appearance at IEM Dallas 2024.
With tge now at the helm, Afonso "shaRpy" Bastos will shift back to an assistant coaching position within the Argentinian organization. BESTIA has retained star player Tomas "tomaszin" Corna during the off-season despite speculation linking him to Legacy.
BESTIA's performance at the start of the new season has been inconsistent. The team faced setbacks, losing to Sharks in the semifinals of the South American qualifier for BLAST Open Porto and finishing as runners-up to Imperial in the Thunderpick World Championship 2026 South America Series 2.
