Anthony Dell’Orso Returns to Australia, Signs with Perth Wildcats

Anthony Dell’Orso, a former guard for the Arizona Wildcats, is heading back to Australia after signing a three-year contract with the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL). Dell’Orso, who moved to the U.S. four years ago to enhance his professional basketball prospects, played a pivotal role in helping Arizona reach the Final Four during his collegiate career.

During his time at Arizona, the 6-foot-6 Dell’Orso participated in 66 games, starting 28 of them, and averaged 7.9 points per game. In his senior year, he came off the bench and improved his scoring average to 8.5 points, showcasing his shooting ability by making 100 three-pointers throughout his college tenure.

Before joining Arizona, Dell’Orso began his college career at Campbell University. He had a standout performance in the Big 12 Tournament semifinals, scoring a career-high 26 points against Iowa State, where he made six three-pointers. He also had impressive back-to-back games, scoring 22 points each when key teammates were unavailable.

After going undrafted in the recent NBA Draft, Dell’Orso played for the Sacramento Kings in the NBA Summer League, where he averaged 3 points per game over four appearances. His new contract with the Wildcats includes opt-out clauses, allowing him to return to the NBA should an opportunity arise.

The Perth Wildcats, a prominent team in the NBL with ten championships to their name, finished the 2025-26 season with a record of 33-21 and reached the semifinals of the playoffs. Dell’Orso joins a legacy of former Arizona players who have competed in the NBL, including Parker Jackson-Cartwright, Chase Jeter, and Keanu Pinder.
