24 Teams Set for Inaugural Esports Nations Cup in Riyadh

The inaugural Esports Nations Cup is gearing up to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with 24 national teams confirmed to participate in the event. The competition, boasting a prize pool of $1.32 million, will unfold from November 10 to 15, marking a significant milestone in the esports calendar.

Teams qualified through various regional qualifiers held globally, showcasing talent from across the esports landscape. Notable players such as Owen "smooya" Butterfield and Oscar "AZUWU" Bell played pivotal roles in securing the United Kingdom's spot through the West Europe qualifier. Meanwhile, Germany's qualification was bolstered by a collaboration between BIG and M80, featuring players like Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz and Elias "s1n" Stein.

In Eastern Europe, Romania's Laurențiu "lauNX" Țârlea helped clinch a place in the tournament, while Justinas "jL" Lekavicius represented Lithuania in their successful qualification effort. Other nations, including Chile and Turkey, also made their mark, with players like David "dav1deuS" Tapia Maldonado and former Aurora coach Sezgin "Fabre" Kalaycı contributing to their teams' successes.
