Following a disappointing 6-1 defeat to the Philadelphia Phillies, Lindor acknowledged that his performance has not met his own standards or those expected by the team.

In the game, the Mets committed three errors and managed only three hits. Lindor himself made a critical relay throw error in the sixth inning, marking his third consecutive game with an error. Although this mistake did not directly lead to a run, it exemplified the ongoing defensive issues plaguing the Mets, with Lindor accumulating six errors in just 42 games this season.

After the game, Lindor reflected on the team's defensive lapses, which interim manager Andy Green described as "sloppy play." He accepted responsibility for his mistakes, stating, "It's not to the level that I expect myself and it's not the level that people expect us to play here."
