Arizona Wildcats Shine at NBA Summer League

The NBA Summer League in Las Vegas has seen six former Arizona Wildcats players compete, with the event concluding this weekend. Among them, Brayden Burries and Koa Peat, both first-round picks from this year's NBA Draft, have made significant impressions.

Brayden Burries, selected 10th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks, has been particularly notable, averaging 22.9 points over three games. His shooting efficiency is impressive, hitting 50% from the field and 44.4% from three-point range, along with 12 assists and only one turnover. His player efficiency rating of 32.8 leads all newcomers, indicating his potential to become a key player for the Bucks following Giannis Antetokounmpo's departure.

Koa Peat, the 30th overall pick by the Phoenix Suns, has also performed well, averaging 16.8 points on 51% shooting across four games. He demonstrated his scoring ability and consistency, scoring in double digits in every game and never shooting below 46%. His standout performance included a 19-point game against Burries' Bucks.

In contrast, Jaden Bradley, the 50th overall pick by the Toronto Raptors, has struggled, averaging just 6 points with a shooting percentage of 29.6% and no successful three-pointers. He still has a chance to improve in a consolation matchup against Denver.

Tobe Awaka, who signed a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls, had a strong showing with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds in one game. He has averaged 7 points on an impressive 75% shooting over four games. Anthony Dell’Orso, also part of the Arizona contingent, is competing with the Sacramento Kings on a Summer League deal.
